GORDON GATT - DIRECTOR
Gordon Gatt has dedicated
the majority of his career, namely some 45 years to the insurance industry in Trinidad and
Tobago and the Caribbean, holding managerial and Senior Executive positions in some of the most
well-known and highly reputed insurance companies both locally and regionally.
His insurance career had its start at ALlCO (now PALIC) where he served for almost 10 years
as the Manager, Group Health Department, a Barbados based position which charged him with
the portfolio and responsibility for the Eastern Caribbean Islands.
After his exit from ALICO, Gordon joined United Security Life Insurance Company Limited where
he served for some 3 years as its Executive Manager of The Caribbean in charge of the
development of the company's group health portfolio. Gordon also, for some 6 years, was
part-owner of Paramedical Services Limited, a primary health care company which, amongst
other services, conducted for local insurance companies, laboratory tests on new applicants
for life and health insurance.
Gordon joined the Caribbean Insurance Company Limited (now the Beacon Insurance Company
Limited "the Beacon") in 1988 as Manager-Employee Benefits. In 2006 he was promoted to
Vice-President Group Services, a position which he holds to date. His dynamic and
charismatic leadership has contributed to the group health portfolio, under his supervision,
expanding across the Caribbean from Trinidad to Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, St.
Vincent, St. Kitts and Suriname. His initiative and drive have also led to him serving as a
member of the Executive Management Team at the Beacon, Mr. Gatt retired from Beacon in
2013.
Gordon has attended, actively participated in and benefited from numerous seminars, training
sessions and courses including a group underwriting and administration work seminar held at
the Swiss ReInsurance Academy in Zurich in 1992. He also, for around 6 years in the 1990's,
served as a committee member of the Institute of Insurance Association and was a committee
member of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean.
Gordon brings with him a lifetime and wealth of invaluable experience and knowledge as it
relates to group health insurance.
He became a member of the Board of Directors of Dalian Medical Concierge Services Limited in
November, 2012.
IAN KALLOO CA - MANAGING DIRECTOR
Ian Kalloo is a
Chartered Accountant having qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered and
Certified Accountants UK in 1988, and having received recognition from the Association as
one of its highest scoring Trinidad graduates in 1988.
Ian began his career in 1984, as an Auditor at one of the leading and most highly esteemed
accounting firms within Trinidad and Tobago, namely Price Waterhouse Trinidad and Tobago. In
1990 he was promoted to Assistant Manager, a position which he held until 1992 at which
point he departed from the firm.
Following his exit from Price Waterhouse, Ian held several senior executive positions in some
of most successful and thriving companies in the service industry within Trinidad and Tobago
including but not limited to, Prestige Holdings Limited (where he served in multiple
managerial position including General Manager Designate from 1992 to 1996), SM Jaleel and
Company limited (where he served as Vice President-Caribbean Operations from 1996 to 2001),
and Medcorp Limited (where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) form 2002
to 2005.)
As CEO of Medcorp limited, Ian dedicated himself to the development, establishment, and
implementation of customer service protocols so as to provide as much comfort and ease as
was possible to patients and their visiting and concerned family members whilst the relevant
medical issues were being treated with.
During his stint at Medcorp limited, and through making himself accessible and available to
all patients, he obtained an intimate exposure to the issues and concerns, financial and
otherwise, which patients and their families were confronted with whilst facing medical
dilemmas.
His insight into these critical issues and his drive to resolve same, and make the patient
experience as smooth as possible, lead to his recognition and involvement in several health
initiatives both in the public and private sector, including his participation in the health
sub-committee of the national Vision 20-20 project and his service and appointment as
President of the Private Health Institutions Association of Trinidad and Tobago in 2003.
It was through his commitment to patient satisfaction and customer service, that he, together
with dedicated physician and vascular surgeon Dr. Dale Maharaj, developed and founded Dalian
Medical Concierge Services Limited ("Dalian"), so as to facilitate a seamless medical
experience at the hospital/medical providers within the Dalian network through the provision
of, amongst other services, interactive medical and case management services, 24/7/365
accessibility to senior medical advisors and hospital perks including minimal deposit
depending on level of insurance coverage.
Ian was appointed Managing Director of Dalian in December 2009, and continues to serve as
same to date.
DR. DALE .A. MAHARAJ MBBS. FRCS. FJCS. FICA. CWS. FACS - MEDICAL DIRECTOR / HEAD OF
MEDICAL MANAGEMENT
Dr. Dale Maharaj has
been a medical practitioner for almost 20 years, obtaining his MBBS from the University of
the West Indies in 1994, under a full government scholarship.
He began his career in the public service as a Medical Intern at the Ministry of Health
(1994-1995) and thereafter as a House Officer employed by the North West Regional Health
Authority (1995-1997)
In 1998, Dr. Dale specialised in General Surgery obtaining his FRCS from the Royal College of
Surgeons, Ireland.
He immediately embarked on perfecting and putting his new specialty into practice working as
a Casualty Officer and Surgeon at Medical Associates Private Nursing Home (Jan 1997 – Dec
1999), the Registrar General Surgeon at the Port of Spain General Hospital (Jan 1999 – Jul
2000) and a Consultant General Surgeon at the Sangre Grande District Hospital (Jul – Sept
1999).
Dr. Dale was awarded a Fellowship of the International College of Surgeons in 2000 and
sub-specialised in vascular surgery following and consequent upon the completion of a
Vascular Fellowship at Albany Medical College, New York from July 2000 to July 2001. IN
2007, he obtained his diploma in surgical infections from the Surgical Infectious Society of
Europe and he also became and American Board certified Wound Care Specialist in the said
year. In 2010, he became a certified PSSD Technician, obtaining this qualification from the
Dellon Institute, Boston.
Dr. Dale joined the medical team at St. Clair Medical Centre limited, one of Trinidad's
leading private health care institutions, in 2002, serving as a Consultant General and
Vascular Surgeon, and was appointed Surgical Administrator in 2009, a position which he
still holds.
He has authored and/or contributed to over 60 articles which have been published in several
international peer reviewed journals including but not limited to the West Indian Medical
Journal, the American Journal of Medicine, the British Journal of Surgery, the European
Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, the Journal of Vascular Surgery, the
International Journal of Clinical Practice. He has also co-authored six textbook chapters on
vascular surgery.
He has received numerous awards including being named "Leading Health Professional of 2000"
by the International Biographical Centre Cambridge, England in 2006, and is and has been a
member of various surgical societies including the International Surgical Society, the
Association of Vascular Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, the Surgical Society of Great
Britain & Ireland, The Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society, the Surgical Infection Society
of Europe and the American College of Surgeons.
He has also served as lecturer in General Surgery at the University of the West Indies and
was appointed and served as an Honorary Consultant at the Port of Spain General Hospital
from July 2001 to July, 2009.
Dr. Dale has also founded and is the Chairman/Clinical Director of the Trinidad Wound Care
Centre ltd and the Caribbean Vascular and Vein Clinic. Together with his partner Ian Kalloo,
he co-founded Dalian Medical Concierge Services Limited with the aim of affording
interactive medical case management services to those who desired same. He was appointed
Director and the Head of Medical Management at Dalian in December of 2009, a position which
he holds to date.
HENRY PETER GANTEAUME FCA - CHAIRMAN/DIRECTOR
Henry Peter
Ganteaume, is a Chartered Accountant who qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales in 1969. Mr. Ganeaume trained with Price Waterhouse in
Trinidad and Tobago and England and rejoined the firm in 1970. He was admitted as a Partner
in 1976 and was appointed Senior Partner in 1992 following the merger of Price Waterhouse
Coopers and served in this capacity until 1999.
During his tenure at PWC, Mr. Ganteaume's career encompassed the provision of auditing,
assurance and corporate financial advisory services to many of the largest corporate
entities in Trinidad and Tobago. He has authored, contributed to and presented numerous
papers and articles relative to accounting standards reform and business improvement
practices. He has also served as a council member on the Accounting Standards Committee of
the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago and has been appointed by
the Trinidad & Tobago Government to serve on Fiscal Review Committees.
In mid-1999, Mr. Ganteaume joined Guardian Holdings limited (GHL) as its Group Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) and Director, a position which he held until his retirement in June,
2006. As GHL's group CEO, Mr. Ganteaume led GHL's financial services group, redefining group
strategy and propelling GHL to its current position of prominence in the financial services
industry.
Mr. Ganteaume has to date remained a Non-Executive Director of GHL and of many of its group
subsidiary companies. He is also a member of GHL's Audit Committee. He also serves as the
Non-Executive Chairman and Financial Adviser to a number of Trinidad and Tobago based
private companies in the manufacturing and service industries, including Dalian Medical
Concierge Services limited ("Dalian.")
Mr. Ganteaume brings with him extensive knowledge of the insurance industry together critical
experience in business building and strengthening initiatives both of which have and will
undoubtedly continue to support Dalian's strategies for growth and diversification.
DR. STACEY-ANN RAMJITSINGH-SAMUEL DDS - DIRECTOR
Dr. Stacey-Ann
Ramjitsingh-Samuel is a dentist by trade, having graduated with honours from the School of
Dentistry, University of the West Indies in 2003.
Dr. Stacey-Ann began her career in the public sector serving as a doctor of dental sciences
in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department in the Port of Spain General Hospital from
2005 to 2009.
In 2005, Dr. Stacey-Ann joined a private practice offering a multitude of dental services
inclusive but not limited to aesthetic dentistry to both adults and children.
Her dedication to patient care and delivery of high quality service, as well as her
personable nature, has led to an ever increasing client base and a flourishing private
practice which she maintains to date.
In 2009, Dr. Stacey-Ann participated in and successfully completed an implantology programme
at the Pikos Implant Institute in Palm Harbor Florida and, in 2012, she was trained in the
use of botulinum toxin A and dermal Fillers at the Esthetic Skin Institute Fort Lauderdale,
Florida.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Stacey-Ann has, since 2011, served as Chairman of
the Caribbean Vascular and Vein Clinic.
In 2012, she was extremely instrumental, and led the charge, in the extension of the services
being offered by Caribbean Vascular and Vein Clinic to include aesthetic services.
Dr. Stacey-Ann became a member of the Board of Directors of Dalian Medical Concierge Services
Limited in December, 2009.
TRACEE-ANN KALLOO LLB, LEC - DIRECTOR/CORPORATE SECRETARY
Tracee-Ann Kalloo is
an Attorney at law by profession having obtained her llB (with Honours) from the University
of the West Indies in 2007 and having obtained her IEC from the Hugh Wooding Law School in
2009.
In 2009 Tracee-Ann was admitted to practise law in the Supreme Court of Trinidad and Tobago.
She immediately entered into practice, joining one of the most prominent and well respected
legal firms within Trinidad and Tobago ("the firm") where she served as an Associate in its
Dispute Resolution and Risk Management Department.
During her tenure as an Associate at the firm, Tracee-Ann worked closely with, and was
mentored by, the firm's Partner/Service line Leader in charge of its Dispute Resolution and
Risk Management Deparment.
She was exposed to and actively involved in a multitude of legal matters which treated with
medical, health care and insurance related issues, including but not limited to medical
negligence, personal injury and incidental insurance related claims. Her participation in
these matters facilitated her introduction to best medical specialists in the medical
fraternity, several of whom she worked closely with to understand the medical intricacies of
the particular case and to draft their witness statements/summaries.
In April of 2012 Tracee-Ann amicably left the firm to join Dalian Medical Concierge Services
Limited (Dalian) as its Corporate Secretary, a position which she holds to date.
In addition to her corporate secretarial functions Tracee-Ann works alongside Dalian's
Managing Director providing critical assistance in the day to day management of the
Company's affairs.
Tracee-Ann became a member of Dalian's Board of Directors in December, 2009. In 2013 she was
appointed Chief Operating Officer of Dalian.
